Tux Valley / Hintertux Glacier Holiday Region
Relaxing and inspiring every day – that's how you'll experience your vacation in Tux!
Tux owes its "special something" to the combination of diverse nature, natural warmth, and genuine tradition! One level higher, at 1,300 to 3,250 meters above sea level, you'll find Tux – an idyllic high valley at the end of the Zillertal Valley with ideal dimensions for a challenging high-altitude holiday.
Tux is a municipality stretching over 8 km and consisting of the five districts of Vorderlanersbach, Lanersbach, Juns, Madseit, and Hintertux. The Tux villages are small, characteristic Tyrolean villages and, together with the Hintertux Glacier valley, form a nature and sports paradise for the whole family – 365 days a year!
The Tux Sports Bus and the Hiking Bus take you from village to village throughout the Tux Valley free of charge every day. And in winter, the Tux night bus "Night-Liner" runs until 2:30 a.m. and takes you from date to date!
Summer
The freshness of the Tux mountain air, the Tux thermal springs, and the Hintertux Glacier is unique, crystal-clear, and alpine-fresh.
Hiking, running, Nordic walking, mountain biking, Kneipp therapy, swimming in thermal waters, summer skiing and snowboarding provide a mountain thrill, while canyoning, brainwashing, flying fox, tandem paragliding, and glacier tours across millennia-old glacial ice provide refreshing action.
Nature Park
In the Zillertal Alps Nature Park, our guests have the opportunity to participate in the attractive program offered by the Zillertal Nature Park.
The high mountain nature park offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities. Whether active mountain hiking, climbing, or mountain biking, or leisurely, long walks through the beautiful and diverse nature park landscape.
Winter
From the challenging and varied holiday experience of the Eggalm paradise to the Rastkogel sunny plateau, then on via the breathtaking panoramic run or the 150-seater Tux cable car to the Penken “entertainment district” with Vans Penken Park & Harakiri run, rustic places to stop for a bite to eat and back again… or the other way around… or something completely different via the snow-covered valley runs to Finkenberg, Vorderlanersbach or Lanersbach.
