Zillertal High Mountain Nature Park

Close to nature

In the Zillertal Alps Nature Park, our guests have the opportunity to take part in the attractive program of the Zillertal Nature Park.

The nature park extends from approx. 1,000 m above sea level to 3,509 m over all altitude levels in the Central Alps. Depending on factors such as altitude, exposure, geological conditions or the history of the respective location, very different habitats, animal and plant species can be found.

Due to the vertical extent of the high mountain nature park, the number of habitats is very large and the flora and fauna are very diverse. Glaciers cover a significant part of the nature park and have always shaped the landscape.

In addition to natural factors, humans also have a strong influence on today's image of the natural and cultural landscape. His way of life and economy can be seen in the landscape and, especially in the Alps, make the varied and romantic mountain landscape so attractive.

The high mountain nature park offers you a wide variety of opportunities for relaxation. Either active in sports such as mountain hiking, climbing, mountain biking or enjoyable, leisurely, long walks through the wonderful and varied natural park landscape.

Experience the special features and secrets of the nature park on one of our guided tours in the summer program. Let yourself be enchanted by the glittering world of minerals, by adventurous stories from the era of poachers and smugglers or by the special flair of a torchlight hike.
